Do you have any idea how important targeted local traffic is when it comes to your Web presence? If you don’t, think of it this way — would you rather have a bunch of freeloaders tracking mud all over your floor or just a few big spenders patronizing your business?
Targeted local traffic is search engine traffic that’s looking for the goods or services that make you the most money. They’re ready to spend. They found you because you dominate the search results for what they want. You dominate the search results because you took the trouble to examine your business (or the business aspects of your professional practice), and identified:
- Your most profitable goods and services
- Any underused capacity that you can scale up
- Where you want to be in the future
By examining your business plan, your Mission Statement, your marketing plan, any bottlenecks in your sales process and what causes you the most aggravation, you can target ONLY the things you want to promote online! That can be much more powerful than a Yellow Pages ad or website that just lays out everything you do. In most cases, how you present yourself ends up being a description of the features you offer.
In order to target local traffic that really increases your revenue, forget features! Identify and promote the BENEFITS the buyer/client will get from your features. That’s not always easy to do if you’re not in the habit of thinking like this.
Here’s a benefit you may understand for your own business. The Scranton Front Door Pages target, occupy and reinforce the top search engine results for select ‘niche’ markets. They beat out classifieds, business directories and Yellow Pages online listings. That’s because these Front Door Pages have the two things search engines identify as valuable — relevance and referrals.
Relevance comes from identifying and using the right ‘keywords’ in each placeholder or Front Door Page. Referrals come from authority websites that point directly to these pages.
If all this sounds like gibberish to you, don’t worry! Take a look at this slideshow for more information:
Then go to The Scranton Front Door Pages and see how this is applied to a niche just like yours.

Chiropractor Scranton
Choosing a chiropractor in Scranton means doing some research. It’s getting started with that research that can be a challenge. Where do you look for information that actually addresses why you want to go to a chiropractor? In other words, aside from the stuff you can read that local chiropractors say about themselves, where can you find one that focuses on you first?
Most of the information that local professionals put up to promote themselves shows you all the features that they offer. The funny thing about features is that they don’t answer the one question a person really wants to know: “What’s in it for me?”
You probably don’t care about how one person’s credentials are a little bit better than another. Nor do you care if a given professional has helped thousands of other people. If that person doesn’t give you an indication that he or she can actually help you with your own, unique problem, who cares?
Now, you can be fairly sure that in real life, these professionals aren’t all a bunch of fat-headed egomaniacs. But if all you have to go on is what they say about themselves in their advertising, you’d think they were all opera singers, singing me-me-me-me-me-me-me!
If you actually find an indication that one of them took the time to speak to you in a way that shows that he or she understands the pain that caused you to seek them out, that person might be worth checking out. It’s a sign that whoever was thoughtful enough to meet you at your needs might also be the same way in person.
While you can find plenty of listings, online and offline, for chiropractors that tell you they deal with problems like back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, etc., try and locate one that speaks to you, rather than at you about it. Not all Chiropractic Care in Scranton is run by fat-heads!
